Visual Studio 2017 15.5 Preview 2 is now available for download

Visual Studio 2017 15.5 Preview 2 is now available for developers. The latest preview update brings bug fixes and improvements. The new version has added Visual C++ Improvements to the Standard Template library. Also, you now have Angular 2 Support for inline, and .ngml template files.

In addition, open folder now supports remote tasks for using any remote build system or running arbitrary commands.

  • IntelliTrace Step-back debugging feature is now supported.
  • You can now open projects exported from the ARM online compiler in Visual Studio.
  • Open folder now supports remote tasks for using any remote build system or running arbitrary commands.

Issues Fixed

  • Fixed an issue where Install VS Professional 15.3 generates setup completed error: PackageId=WindowsUpdates.KB2533623;PackageAction=Install;ReturnCode=14081.
  • Fixed an issue where Icons are missing after Visual Studio 2017 15.3 update.
  • Fixed an issue where Visual Studio has a conflict with OneDrive on demand (Windows 10 insider build).
  • Fixed an issue where Error messages in Windows Forms Designer after 15.3.2 update.
  • Fixed an issue where Exception Helper window breaks on exception while debugging.
  • Fixed an issue where Go To View > context menu option missing from Asp.Net Core (Framework).
  • Fixed an issue where Constructor snippet for nested class creates constructor for outer class.
  • Fixed an issue where XAML Designer stopped working after attempt to install additional features.
  • Fixed an issue where VS 15.3.3 crashes when attempting to debug a unit test.
  • Fixed an issue where “Could not load file or assembly” error generated in DesignTime when a view open has a viewmodel references to SeriLog.
