AT&T is now rolling out a new software update G930AUCS4BQJ2 for Galaxy S7 and update G935AUCS4BQJ2 for Galaxy S7 Edge smartphone in the US. Sony Mobile India has announced two new Xperia R1 and Xperia R1 Plus smartphones exclusively for the Indian market. Both smartphones feature a 5.2-inch HD 720p display with 2.5d curved glass, Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset, and 2620 mAh battery. The new handsets also feature Uplink Data Compression (UDC) with improved data transmission, allowing you to download web pages up to 50% faster. It works by compressing all uplink traffic so that the same information can be uploaded with fewer bits from the phone to the tower. Fortnite update 1.8 is now rolling out for players on PS4, Xbox One , and PCs. However, there is a bad news for PlayStation 4 and Pro users. The Fortnite game is now capped at 30FPS on PS4 and PS4 PRO. According to the Epic games, the unlocking frame rate was an accidental change. The game developers feel that capping consoles to 30 fps will provide the best experience based on internal metrics and blind play testing. In addition, the team is working on improvements for locking the “front end” UI and lobby screens at 60fps, and investigating adding a “display options” menu on consoles. At launch, Fortnite had significant problems with frame syncing and render threads with the GPU at 30fps. While fixing the frame syncing problem engineers also identified significant input latency because of parallel rendering on consoles. Microsoft has confirmed that Kinect is dead. The software giant has now stopped manufacturing the accessory. According to Fast Co Design,  the depth camera and microphone accessory have sold around 35 million units since its debut in November 2010. Microsoft’s Kinect for Xbox 360 also featured in Guinness World Records as the fastest-selling consumer device in 2011. Kinect was also launched with the Xbox One , but the pricing and features failed to live up to expectations. Microsoft was then forced to unbundle Kinect from Xbox One. However, Microsoft is still using Kinect tech in other devices like HoloLens, Windows Mixed Reality , and Windows Hello. IO Interactive has announced  Hitman Game of the Year Edition with new contents. This new edition will arrive on November 7 with the entire complete first season and the brand new Patient Zero campaign. In addition, there are three Escalation Contracts centered around the new Clown, Raven, and Cowboy outfits, which come with their own signature weapons, ranging from a bat, a rifle, and a magnum pistol.   The new update includes a redesigned UI, additional options for customizing and finding popular contracts, and  Tobii eye tracking support  for PC.  Hitman  will also receive Xbox One X enhancements. These will include native 4K support and higher frame rates, with more details regarding the enhancements to come at a later date. Ghost Recon Rainbow Six game servers are currently down for maintenance. The maintenance will continue for next 2hrs until 11:00 am EDT. According to the Ubisoft, they will be moving the platform that handles the inventory and store to a cloud service. This platform also handles all purchases that you make in the game, including currency purchases. We have made the decision to shift to cloud hosting to improve the stability and reliability of the service. The company has tested this process internally, and are ready to make the change on the live infrastructure. A copy of the entire database prior to the maintenance is saved and will roll back to that in the event of an issue. There will not be a risk of permanently losing any player data. The maintenance might intermittently prevent you from accessing the online features of Ubisoft games or might cause disconnections from these services. Google Lens is now rolling out on first-gen Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones. Google Lens made its official debut at Google’s October 4th event alongside the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. It’s worth noting that Google Lens is currently available to the Photos version of Lens, the Assistant version isn’t available yet. Google Lens pull information from your phone’s camera feed and show you results based on that information. It’s Google’s server-side updates, so you do not need to download any update.
